What are these Ludwig bass drum spurs?

I don't see any extra holes in the shell, so my guess is they ordered them with the bass drum with the Atlas spurs.

The move to the straight shell (no reinforcement ring) was definitely to get more projection and volume. Ludwig made the move in 1976...
