D6 vs Beta 52 gain.

I have an Audix D6 and a Shure Beta 52. I’ve noticed that when I use the D6 I have to turn up the gain to get the same mix level. Does the D6 naturally have a lower signal or is it wearing out? The D6 has seen a lot of gigs but isn’t that old.

Mics don't wear out. The D6 is notorious for being mid scooped. That usually means they need more power to cut through
