It finally happened...the snareless gig

In the 70s I had to do a couple of mercy dashes for a missing snare. I'd learned my lesson from then on until the drummer of an ex-band was unavailable for the final of a band competition and, having not gigged for a while at the time, I forgot my snare. I had to borrow one from another contestant. We won the comp and I felt a bit guilty because we wouldn't have won if the other drummer hadn't been gracious.

Forgeting big things like drums or a hardware bag are not on my list of worries but smaller items are. Thats why I have sticks a drum key, a hi-hat clutch and snare wires in my drum pedal case, my stick bag and my hardeware cases.

Spread the small esential items around the rest of the bags you use and you should be ok, If you forget a bass drum or a drum stool then you deserve to be named and shamed.
