I have no problem with Carmine's drumming. He's a legend, and that's all there is to it. But I prefer brother Vinnie's work, probably because of my soft spot for Dio.

Saw him with the Fudge, Cactus and BBA. He was VERY influential to young rock drummers of that era. Including me. Rock on Carmine.

This thread is fifteen years old. I've known Carmine since 1988, and while I always liked his drumming with Vanilla Fudge and Cactus, I can't say we ever hit it off on a personal level for whatever reason. When I was writing about him, he was very cooperative, and after that, he didn't want to know. Whatever, his contributions to rock drumming are without question.

Carmine and Vinnie what's not to love about each-just the bands each have been in is a drive down memory lane. I think if I add a mustache I could pass as a long lost brother-maybe a distant cousin. LOL.
