Alert! Drums Stolen!

Ahhhh Zicko, I feel even worse now that I've seen a pic of them.

Is it just the drums or hardware and cymbals as well?

Oh what a sinking feeling that must have been, if it's any consolation, I feel like throwing up....Nothing else feels quite like being violated...And it's not like it's a Pearl set where there a million just like them, those drums are kinda rare, no?

This makes a good case for stealthily marking your shells somehow for ID purposes.

I really hope you get your drums back.

Scour craigslist in every city.

OK all done.

Just some thoughts here:

On Main Street in Norman is a pawn shop, you might duck in there. It is on the same block as Coaches'. Go by Norman Music and ask for James Wyrick - he's good guy and will probably keep an eye out for them. You might get lucky as the thief might be dumb enough to take them to Norman Music to see if he's interested in buying them.

On I-35, in Moore and I want to say the 2nd exit south of I-240 is a pawn shop on the Southwest corner in those brown buildings. North of I-240 is another Pawn Shop again on the west sideand it is south of SE 59th - check them out! There is also a pawn shop across from the Rhinestone on SE 59th. My first instinct would be the thief would tery to unload them as quickly as possible, but since I'm not a thief, I don't know how they think.

You might want to check by telephone Chickasha, Ada, McAlester and Durant. Possibly Enid and Stillwater. Low key areas where few questions are asked.

You might also try to think of anyone who you may have told about or shown your Zickos. Word gets around, so it may have been a friend of a friend. The good thing is that those drums are easy to spot and ID unlike the Ludwigs and Pearls.

Robert,

Thanks for looking out for me. Those aren't mine as mentioned in the other post. Keep it up. It makes it harder for the thief to unload them. Thanks again.

Zicko,
so sorry for you loss man...Hate Thieves!

Take that picture of your set and post in grocery stores and gas stations in the area...take the pic to all the pawn shops and music stores as well..

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Good luck;

and for the theives:

I wish upon them that all of their teeth fall out, except for one. And in that one that they have the

absolute worst abscess known to man.

Dude, not to rub it in but, those are really great looking unique drums with an unusual brand name. The good thing about that is they will be much easier for anybody to look out for. I cant stand friggin thieves dude, none of us can I'm sure. No problem keeping an eye out for them.

Zicko...any news on your Drums??

Nada! Thanks for asking. I am still persuing their recovery.

I am in the process of replacing them and I will have pictures as soon as all the parts get here.

theres a set for sale over at DFO.....just lettin ya know.

There's a HIGH chance that a non-drummer stole your gear so when you're watching on eBay and Craigslist also use keywords like ' vistalite drum' 'clear drums', 'fiberglass drum', 'plastic drum'. You never know because they probably don't know what the heck they're talking about when they're trying to unload them.

Googling "drum name/type of gear" THEN craigslist will bring up all ads matching from the entire site...the whole US basically.

Good luck!!

Florian,

I saw those. They're not mine. I really appreciate you bringing them to my attention as I can't be everywhere and I am persuing their return.

Looks like a good deal, but I am in the process of putting together a kit now. I am looking for a set of 22" BD rims, though. The ones I got are very rusty.

T.Underhill,

I have tried some of those descriptions but not all. Thanks for the advice.
