(I believe) he's talking after 68 (when he went to Istanbul permitted by court etc order)

Looks an awful lot like the machine at chevys

I love how he says “the violence of manufacturing”

A. Zildjian sizzle, made in Constantinople, Turkey; or more like made in quick get away to Bucharest +/-? but, nonetheless, an "A" but not a (USA) "Avedis". (an Aram.
And the K's.
Gretsch catalog page from 1948/50 +/-
Ads catalog pages like this must have fried Avedis USA (and their lawyers) buns and nuts.

Still playing my 1986 Sabian 22" extra heavy ride and my 1986 Sabian 14" flat hats bought brand new in 1986. Went through many crashes over the years. Love both Sabian and Zildjian cymbals. I have both in my collection.

So..

zildjian-janissary.jpg

So what does their really old stuff look like? I see a lot of stuff from maybe as far back as the 1960's or 1950's. I want to see something from the 1600's!!
likely in the Turkish Military Museum
some snips in that video above)

Boy, that "Brand Journey" page is something else. K Cons came out in what? 1998-99. NOT 2002. It's all about "the family" even though no one in the family has designed a cymbal in over 20 years.

A Redesign
Keropes
Avedis Series
Special Dry Series

I can go on and on, but I'll just say-- it's a weird telling of events.

Zildjian knows what the release date of K Cons was.
1998 (I bought new in person 20 Light and 22 Light

2002 date refers Dancin Devils MTL TH MTH
Ad campaign and the name stuck with those introduced models.
that explains that

I first played K Cons in 1999. I know better than they do. Guessing there are zero surviving family members who give a crap. 1998? 2002? Whatevs.

(there's an entire orchestra in an old K Zildjian (they were built for orchestra) Sometimes you don't want that much but. It cannot be denied) amen

Loved that interview and listening to RZ speak about Sabian's philosophy and business model. I wonder to what degree that's changed since Andy Zildjian took over as President in 2013.

Sales Info: I assumed sales were greater than this but Zoominfo.com quotes Zildjian having 31.6 M revenue; Sabian 16.2 M :geek:
