I've come across this skinny little female dark haired tutor that I keep going back to for learning cool stuff. Damn..i have no names which I'll get but another guy is the drummer who says..if your hihat cymbals are this distance apart you are wrong...i was (wrong) I guess...so I wanted to know more. If you have favorites I'm checking them out.

Claus Hessler, Max Hofmann and Jim Chapin.
Think Jim left us before YouTube was a thing. His videos have been uploaded though.

I had the pleasure of being taught face to face 20 years ago and it was too intense for YouTube. Moeller is hands on

I like Rob Brown, he deals in common sense.

I used the Jazz Drumming System DVDs to learn the basics of jazz with Mike Michalkow, I learned a lot of things on his DVD and started from scratch literally. It was a very good tool for the ultimate beginner.

So yeah I say Mike Michalkow, he was on Drumeo fror a while, I don't know if he is still an instructor there.

I’m still not able to achieve the evenness and speed, I’d probably never will.

1. Mainly for me it's watching how people play in live concert footage available on video.

2.Concepts and practical tips via Q&A I've found some Drumeo short lessons (free) on YT are some real gems. A Gavin Harrison video where he referred to the mind being a hard drive was a fantastic lesson. Some of the posts by Todd Sucherman on his Facebook page were very insightful as well.

3. Bruce Becker has some good hand technique videos.

Seen a lot of great ones, really, and way fewer horrid ones than I expected. But I don’t have a favorite. Seems like they all have their schtick and I try to use it all.

well....... he is a middle-aged guy who is bald with questionable fashion sense....who is always saying...
"now roll here....and fill there.....now tacet for 60 bars".......he is confusing..now what is his name?

That's why Moeller lessons are very hands on. It takes years and years of pad work to vaguely master.

I still put the time in on the pad and I'm nowhere near the guys who taught me. I'm 20 years in and I still feel I can get better. This is what youtube videos don't teach you, discipline.

I'm not so sure I like what is floating around for free on the internet for a beginning drummer.

I think the free internet content is a far better resource for mid level and above...where greater exposure of the subject to the student allows greater discrimination.
