Haven't tried the Eliminator but I find the Tama to have a very smooth action.

The Pearl H2000 Eliminator or the Tama HH905 Iron Cobra?

I have the Pearl H-2000 and it's a great stand - love it, there's tons of adjustment.

F.Y.I.
I'm impressed with the hihat and the support from Pearl:
The center rod on the Pearl hat spins freely and the clutch wingnut was getting in the way of my sticking. Even Pearl drum retailers were telling me "you can't stop the spinning - they all do that."
NOT TRUE.

I guess Pearl Reps do read the "Forum" and one answered me right away after I posted "spinning hats" on the Pearl Forum. Pearl emailed me a PDF. showing and explaining how to tighten the center rod (detailed photos and text). It worked great - no more "spinning!" You gotta love these forums........

I tested Yamaha (actually took it home for a day), DW and Gibraltar before I settled with Pearl. The Pearl hat was hands-down the winner for me, smooth, built very solid and, like I said, lots of adjustment.

I can't comment on Tama - didn't test it.

Cheers,

Kona
