What's your latest purchase?

To add another year or two to my 2017 MacBook Pro I bought a replacement battery kit from ifixit.com and went for it.

⬇️ The back is off and the sea of screws has begun.

⬇️ After the original battery was removed, the adhesive must be completely removed, and a clean surface for the new adhesive. This took the longest.

⬇️ Only one extra screw! I win! There were about 20–25 of these little buggers of varying lengths such as 1.7mm and 1.9mm and 2.0mm (According to the instructions provided by ifixit.

So far, no lithium fires. 👌

And I heard the new iPhone 14 has a much easier-to-replace battery. (In case anyone is considering a new phone)

Picked up these well used Paiste 15” Black Logo 2002 Heavy Hats. The SE’s can be a bit too much at times, and these should dial it down some.

I’m addicted to buying snares right now lol… just added another.
It’s a 70s Ludwig 6 ply maple Thermogloss but made from a 14” concert tom cut down to a 14x5. Wow does it ever sound goooood!
I hear you, in 3 weeks, I bought 2 Mapex on the good advices of a guy nick name "Mapex always" on drumforum, 30th anniversary 8 ply 8 mm walnut, awesome snare and The Shadow, Birch/walnut/rosewood veneer, 6.85mm, 7 ply, both 14X6.5:
I have really discovered Mapex, they are very nice A snares and not a challenger I was thinking they were... And their prices are right!!
HO MY GOD, CBPhoto had warned me, now, with 10 Snares, I have to buy his utility snares rack display... Well, they have it in stock at Musicians friend so..

That's the same bell I have and I think it sounds pretty darn good. There are so many to pick from nowadays it's hard to decide.
Yes, there are so many cowbell nowadays but i buy this model because i like the sound better than other model of LP cowbell and the sound of mambo remind me a Steven Adler Appetite For Destruction album😅

I did this to my last MacBook and yes, the adhesive removal and small screws of slightly varying lengths tested my patience...and eyesight! Hope everything worked well after you closed post-surgery.

Remo falam slam, Puresound strainer and LP mambo cowbell.

I have always liked a good cowbell sounds like in Latin music or Santana but the first I bought, kind of 40$, basic LP was not to my liking. Then, I found the big red one, LP Chad Smith model "Ride Ridger" and it was awesome but more of a rock cowbell, normal being the one for Chad Smith and then, found another one for Latin and also very versatile, the Meinl Mike Jonhston "Groove" Cowbell so, the last one is on the usual place, between my snare and the 16" Floor Tom and the LP red is above the second snare on the left of the Hihat, being the one that I will use more for basic Rock rythym and the Meinl being used in a more intricated way. Everybody was laughing at cowbells and they told me only years after that why, you all know why but you don't have SNL in France so, no way for me to know it.

I like the Chad Smith cowbell but the sound is too thin compared to my mambo.

Just picked up what appears to be a 1974 20” 2002 black label ride. Different seller from the Hi hats I picked up a couple days ago. Those where 76’.
Ordered a 24” 2002 classic Ride this week too. 😃

Back at the P&D game.

I do want to find either the Gigster or the rack version as this box is just too heavy to take along to rehearsals and gigs easy.
I carry my seat in a 12x15 tom case along with my snare drum. Before that I carried it in a Pearl snare drum bag, they're pretty light.

Ha ok, didn't know that, we play Pop/Funk so, I was not in need of a loud Cowbell, but I might check your LP Mambo next time I'm in the Store. Thanks.

I just carry the trborne with the nitro stand in its all.

Its the engine box that is top heavy (although the seat is quite heavy too compared to a aregular roc n soc or Yamah seat)
That's what I mean ditch the Box and use something else.
