Well I’ll tell you when I know more but I set it up tonight and I feel like it will revolutionize my practice. I can hear everything with so much more clarity so I believe it will help my timing and awareness of dynamics, I can run tracks and clicks and hear my drums clearly at the same time, make half decent recordings easily and I’m yet to figure out the rest. There’s an app to connect with it too apparently. It’s great for someone like me who can’t be bothered with a home recording setup.

My local GC had a 3pc design kit in the satin red on clearance for $599. If my house weren't tiny, I'd have bought it because, well, such a deal!

On a whim, I bought some 4.5mm bead chain, pull loop connectors, and 1" keyrings and made four of these:
At $13 each for the manufactured ones, I thought I would take a chance. They're pretty good so far, we'll see if they become annoying or over-done.

For my cheapest kit, I special ordered another 24 bass drum, 18 floor Tom, 13 Tom, a used hammered bronze snare, 2 Gibraltar Stealth pedals, Gibraltar legless hi hat, Tama hi hat hoop mount and Remo ambassador heads.
Needless to say, I don’t think it’s my cheapest kit anymore.
Very happy with this setup. It encourages me to practice. Not to mention, it’s between me and the TV.

Another Prinacoustic London bass trap kit, 2 panels 48"X 24"X 2", one to put on top of one already in place, so, the right corner of the studio will be fully treated, the second one to put in front of the drums kit, there is a railing with the window that prevents me to put it on the left side!!!

So, in this corner, left side of the window, I don't have enough room to put a second bass trap so, I will got for a "Cumulus", a triangle that goes right in the corner of walls and ceiling, good spot to treat modes and resonance of the room.
