Storing drum shells?

I'm sure this question had been asked before at some point.
This is a extra practice kit that will be stored in an temperature controlled room for probably about 6 months.
Should I leave the heads tight or loose?
Should I stack them like you see in music store or not? Space is not a concern.
Thanks for the feedback

whichever you feel like. hell i've stacked them with heads fully tuned up on top of each other before in somebodys garage and theyve not been damaged or warped before :)

I wouldn't leave them under tension if you tune very high. Very loose might not be good either.

Depends on how many drums of course. I would stack them in multiple rows to keep weight off the bottom drum. And place a cloth on the heads.

Is climate-controlled storage really necessary for drums, assuming you're storing them in hard cases, off the floor?

Stacking is fine. If you are worried about the heads, put a small piece of plywood or really thick cardboard between each drum in the stack.
