Some finished tracks from the "fusion-y" band.

Hello again!

Lots of folks asked for the final versions when I posted one of these that isn't done. Far as I know, these three are finals for our demo as a new band... It's a weird fusion-y "story band" that has a gods/universes mythology built in. Best I can explain. Live shows have visual elements and they are planning crowd interactivity with some of the video stuff. Really different for me and my history of no nonsense punk type bands.

https://youtu.be/zYMQfpKO6p0 - "Void it". I think my personal favorite track from this demo session. Bit darker feeling with a strange marching groove to start things off and a transition to a more smooth feel. I've been told it's about a weird cult that wants to get all your stuff in exchange for their goddess "voiding" your past problems and hurt.

https://youtu.be/20RuqgydrnI - "Nothing". Odd song that has a weird groove and some parts that meld in weird ways between instruments. Stay till the end for the part I call "the most interesting man in the world" for it's odd shift to a latin type feel. You'll get to check out my sweet shaker skills.

https://youtu.be/ggcCLGcCu14 - "The Same". This is the one some of you heard before. Now with vocals and a mix. If you miss the guitar solo at the end, in my opinion, you're missing out.

Thanks much if you give a listen! This was all written by two brothers and I only recently joined the project so I'm only really contributing my drum playing and percussive ideas... Maybe a slight bit of input into the structure of songs as I learn them.

Not that anyone is paying particular attention to this new thread, but here's a mashup studio video the band leader made. You can see my back as I lay down some "tasty beats" a bit more than half-way through.

Background track is just a improv jam I think we did late in the day just cause. Nothing serious.

Commentary, insults, and nonsensical babbling encouraged.

Only heard the first song so far. Some good jammy stuff, and nice drag rolls on the snare drum. Gave it some more texture. I'll listen to the rest after I get bit of practice in.

Good stuff, Watsy! Listening now and enjoying the music and the way you're approaching the arrangements and the feel of your playing. Great to hear new music with unconventional melodies and harmonies too. At times the music (not the voice so much) reminds me of Jeff Buckley.
