I sold the Canopus Zelkova and was able to get back some cash and the snare I really wanted on a Black Friday sale. It's a Hendrix Archetype stave walnut 14x6 with abalone inlay. The shell is pretty thin for a stave (1/4") with a neat feature being that the reinforcement rings are integrated. It comes with S-hoops, Fat cat snares and 3 position Trick throw off. Quality is outstanding. Sonically it's a glorious phat tone with that low fundamental that walnut provides. This is a keeper and will be used as the go to snare for my Gretsch Brooklyn kit. Feast thine eyes !!
Wow, that looks amazing, especially with the Brooklyns. Congrats.
Now I'm looking for one of those!

Revamped a DW solid shell I've had for a while. New hoops and tension rods.
I really like the new true pitch 50 rods. Never had one loosen up. The new hoops are a cross between die cast and triple flanged.
I’ve never played a Zelkova, but I’ve got a hollow log maple snare, 13x6. What did you not like about it?
Very nice.
Are these lugs 1-piece or 2-piece?
What’s the shell material and how’d you spec the pattern?
