Setting default video quality playback on iPad

I’m using an old iPad to view videos while practicing. Most of the videos I watch are from Bill Bachman’s Extreme Hands Makeover. To boot, I have a poor WiFi connection where I practice.

So, whenever I start a video, I have to manually select the lowest video quality in order for the video to play uninterrupted, or to even play at all.

Is there a setting I can default to so that, whenever I do play a video, it will automatically play the video at the lowest playback quality and not the highest possible playback quality?

It’s not a big hassle to manually select the lowest video playback quality, but, over time, the minutes do add up.
