Quite the gig!

Last night - What an end to our festival season! The biggest indoor gig I’ve done in many years, & the band nailed it. Will post more video later, but for now, here’s a short clip & some gratuitous kit shots after sound check.

Awesome crowd engagement, FOH mix seemed spot on, awesome lighting, set list calculated for crowd response and the band's energy translates all the above into a night to remember. Tears for Fears as a quiet song? Give the audience a rest?!? I say, substitute ELO's Turn to Stone! I bet you could pull it off without a string section - but you might have to jump in with backing vocals.

I love “Turn to Stone"

Our version of the Tears for Fears track is deliberately up tempo with a rock edge. Seems to work for us. There’s multiple keys layers in the original, plus other stuff. To pull that off with a 5 piece, we’d need to rely on backing tracks, & that’s something we don’t do.
