Pearl Session Custom versus Tama Starclassic Birch?

Ah, the cunundrum.

Two sets, both with pros and cons.

In the one corner, we have a Pearl Session Custom shell pack in a pretty nifty vintage fade color. $800 gets me the shells and the tom arms/clamps. $50 for the gas to take me to them. Downside? Not really a fan of the fusion sizes.

In the other corner, an interesting Tama Starclassic birch (I hadn't really considered birch before) on eBay. $800 gets it with $50 shipping. The only problem? The yellow sparkle finish could be either amazing or terrible. Hard to say without seeing it in person.

Can you guys help me to sort through this quickly? If I go to get the Pearls, I'd have to do it this weekend when I have time. Equally, anybody would BIN the Tamas.

The Tamas are, IMO, a better quality drum. Very warm sounding for birch, and top-notch hardware. That color, though...i don't know...
