Pearl 1980 to 83 Maple Snare made in Japan.

I have been waiting for a long time to convince a drummer friend to sell this 1980 to 83 Pearl Maple made in Japan snare. It’s in great condition for a 40 year old drum. It sounds incredible and will be incorporated with my 85 Professional MLX.

Something very special about a Pearl MLX kit and especially black. They were a dream kit that never materialized. Even today and NOW just looking at them the magic is still there. As simple as it is it was even better with the Pearl logo (in black) on the tom arm. I love kits that have an element of magic in them and that kit is certainly one of them. .

5 years ago this kit was on local Craigslist 5 pc 22x16,16x16,13x11 12x10 & 1st gen steel free floater 14x6.5.The shells are the same as the GLX (gloss black interiors).I sold the FF.
The Professional Series MLX & GLX from what info I’ve gathered were only made for 2 to 3 years. I recently found a matching 10x9 Tom on a Pearl FB group.

You will probably hate me after this, total cost $700.00.

The kit came with a supply of drool cups!

I have a black MLX kit in unusual sizes: 20/14/13/12. Appears to have been born together. Found on CL. I sold the hardware, cymbals, and snare and the kit was free after that. MLX are so underrated!
