Loudest and softest brushes

Hello fellow drummers,

What is the model of brushes that you found to be the loudest, and what about the softest?

I find the Vic Firth WB quite loud and the Regal Tip Yellow Jacket very soft but I would love to hear your thoughts :)

I use Vic Firth Live Wires. Not necessarily "loud" per se, but they have more presence and articulation than others I've used.

I agree the Vic Firth Jazz Brush (WB-White Handle) are stiffer and louder than average. The Regal Tip Jeff Hamilton brush is also pretty stiff and loud.

The Vic Firth Heritage Brush (HB-Purple Handle) is soft and thinner and also the original Regal Tip 550 wood handled brush is also very quiet.

I have a pair of Regals that are stiff & are perfect for pretty much anything. I'll go nylon retractable by any brand if I need the softer touch.
