As I'm a country drummer who grew up listening mostly to that genre, Kenny's passing felt like a theft from the vault of my youth. It was impossible in the 70s and 80s to flip through country stations and not hear his music. His ubiquitous presence on the airways is inseparable from my earliest memories of music and thus of drumming. I thank him for the wealth of material he left behind.
