Okay, I am a semi-professional when it comes to playing, but when it comes to putting mics on my set, im a noob... Ive started my quest into this new world of the mics with simply a bass drum mic (Nady DM-90). My question to all the pros is, what do I need to get, on a beginners scale that is, to plug the mics into in order to change the sounds i get out of my pa? So instead of just a thud or thumb, I can add tones to it and get either a metal sounding kick or what have you? Is it called a module? A processor? Sound board? I am getting a phonic 620 200 watt mixer compared to this old one I have which doesnt do much at all, will that help me out any? Appreciate the help...
