Has anyone used these? Would you? I only bought it for the looks. :) A poly rod glued into a nylon tip 5B (with the tip under a removable rubber sleeve). They lower the volume a bit and are bouncy and long, but the ends are chopped off perpendicularly, resulting in a sharp edge that worries me. Very stealthy on a rubber pad though.

Are these trying to be like the Rods you can get, but in a removable method?
I like the grip for sure.

The tip is not removable on this one. The website says: “the Ninja Tip has been designed for very quiet and delicate playing. The polycarbonate is very resilient and has characteristics which provide an extremely fast rebound and a very quiet musical tone on cymbals. The surgical tubing can be rolled back to expose the nylon tip. By changing the angle of attack, the drummer percussionist can alternate between the sound of a normal nylon tip and the quiet tone of the rod.”….
The Ninja Tip is recommended for seasoned players that have reasonable level of technical skill.” Haha, that’s not me..
