Hey guys, so I bought a Ludwig element evolution set today (my first set!!!) and the hi hat stand didn’t come with a felt for the bottom cymbal. Do I need one?
I'd be concerned about the screw post that adjusts the tilt angle of the bottom cymbal and any kind of metal-to-metal contact there. I'd be safe and get a felt, my 2 cents. Congrats on the new kit!
Not sure but I think my Tama Hihat Stand Dyna Sync came as well like this, I was looking for it at first...I'll have to check, kit is downstair and everyone is sleeping...
I dunno but this looks like it´s missing more than just the felt. I found a review on amazon where one customer was complaining about the bottom felt and washer missing so apparently it happens...
Ah yeah, if it really is the tip of the adjustment screw sticking up through that one pad, then there was definitely supposed to be a big curved metal washer above that, and a felt above the washer.
