Developing Timing

A great set of exercises from Victor Wooten that can easily be applied to drumming...

I love how Victor isn't ashamed to show he isn't perfect...prob the most important thing to take from this...can't fail, can't learn.

I hope to learn to be able to accept my current plateaus as well as Victor does in that clip...

Have any good but less obvious/known ones Gvdadrummasum?

Ding ... Tick ... Tick ... Tick ... Ding ... Tick ... Tick ... Tick

I'm curious how he messes up the time like that ("of course no drummer would be this off"). I'd like to find something that did that so I could practice for some of the bass players I get to play with. ;-)

Many recording devices/metronomes allow slight changes in play back speed...I think he was just moving the speed up and down...I gues you could automate it with a sequencer that allows tempo variation?- or most digital recording software packages

im very interested in the last exercise he did...quit counting and see if you can feel the pulse on a long interval.

Another obvious exercises is to play the metronome quiet and try to play right on it so you cant hear it...

Please list any other good timing exercises you use or have found!
