But anyways I have it tuned about medium. That’s where I like it,
 
I just looked up Cocobolo on the Janka scale, man that stuff is way up there in hardness.
I wonder if special tools are required to work with it?
 
It is quite hard but we set our table saw to a fast setting to cut the staves
 
And we didn’t use just any wood glue. We used G Flex! It’s a epoxy resin used to put together boats! But that stuff holds the wood like a charm. It will never come apart! I guarantee it!
 
That’s great, as long as your drum/marimba/guitar is made in the country where the wood is grown. It’s still going to greatly restrict the availability of actual wood for making instruments here.

And these rules are subject to the whims and judgment of government customs inspectors. They enforce them how they see fit.
