Excellent point. But this is the internet. Where you don’t have to prove anything. Just saying makes it so.Nonono. Mythbusters actually demonstrates why something is a myth, they don't just assert.![]()
I look forward to seeing the video where the hypothesis is tested and the myth is objectively busted!More mythbusters coming soon. Stay tuned![]()
Low bar to set for yourself.Did anyone note that 100% of the non-drummers in the audience, can't tell the difference?
Who cares? If a metal snare drum or a 20” bass drum makes someone happy and the band they play in likes it, that’s what matters. The drummer in my current band uses an 18” kick and a Supra. He used my Ludwig set with a 22 last week and a Tama Superstar maple snare that came with the set he usually uses. Know what it sounded like?
My girlfriend can tell. I blindfold her when we go out to hear bands. If she fails then she doesn’t get coffee or breakfast the next morning.Did anyone note that 100% of the non-drummers in the audience, can't tell the difference?
Yeah you are right my 6.5 hh bronze Ludwig is about as close to a wood snare as it gets but it’s still not a wood sounding one.It sounds like a metal drum.
Time for coffee, avoir……

Oh Man! Damn near wet my wood!
"Are giant drums a waste of time?"Are high end non-woody metal drums a giant waste of money?
Only if they were the early ones, with the Philippine Mahogany shells and Zola coated interiors.Otherwise we’d all play Tama Swingstars, wouldn’t we ?
