It’s slightly over 2000, like 2100 and change. And the Diril is a 20 and lighter, yes.
But boy is my face red! I adjusted the placement of my floor tom a couple days ago, and I just discovered that a leg was touching the cymbal stand.
Only did it once in drums…I would write a short tempo/feel reminder, maybe an occasional bar if there was a specific fill I needed to remember, etc. And I tried to keep it down to one or two pages.
Then I do the gig and we do maybe 5 of those songs and a whole bunch of wildcards, half of which...
My Sabian Studio Ride started humming last night. I think part of the problem is it placement too close to the floor tom, but even when I move it, it still has a hum, just a different pitch. So what else should I look for?
What I’d like to know is I saw Styx in 79 and Dennis DeYoung a few years ago at Epcot, and I swear he sounded every bit as good at age 69 as he did back in the day.
