have you run into any issues with the knob adjuster on the butt-plate? i'm guess it's just user error on my part, but there's been several times i've been playing mine and the wires just disengage because that adjuster loosens itself .

yeah- it doesn't alter the sound at all, but aesthetically it just looks wrong. I was able to adjust it some so the splay occurs on lugs that aren't front and center. I am just a bit confused as to why this is an issue for them though.

yup- it's the same exact issue. something must be off measurement wise. some of the hoop holes are centered over the lugs and some are not.

I'd go with the Gretsch. I just got a snare in that same finish and it's awesome! edit- I take that back after reading through your post...

I think the appeal of the Acrolite is that they can be had for cheap and I think they sound great. for the $70 I paid it's a bargain.
