That said, the vast majority of players have used 10 mil heads as reso heads since the dawn mylar drum heads. Certainly physics tells us that excited with sufficient energy, a thinner head will sustain less...

    Can't agree. If you have overtones that weren't in the video, the issue is tuning, not eq. You can't eq "great" into a recording.

    I bought a few of these years ago. They work well enough but being limited to one of the floor tom legs can be a limitation in some cases
