Panos Vassilopoulos was born in Athens , Greece .
Begun his involvement in percussion at age 14 listening to drummers such as Neil Peart, John Bonham and Ian Paice.
Having had no formal lessons in his carreer ,begun to explore the more complex side of drumming a few years later, by listening to the Jazz Greats Buddy Ritch and Joe Morello.
In the 90's the influence of Jazz Fusion is more than apparent. Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers and recently Thomas Lang, Virgil Donati, Marco Minnemann and Grant Collins have become a major source of inspiration.
Currently has been examining the possibilities that are available, with his involvement in the world of electronic percussion.
