Craig Connet...
Craig Connet moved to Liverpool from Linlithgow in 2001 and has spent the past five years developing his style and establishing himself as a respected and sought after musician on the Liverpool scene. Craig is a feel drummer with style and panache. Music is his life; he played well over 200 gigs last year and is regularly in and out of local studios. He gigs with numerous bands and records with a variety of artists and once you witness his dynamic stage persona you can understand why he is in such demand. His energy drives his groove, which is ultimately immersed in old funk with a rich texture and soulful feel. Craig's performances are guaranteed to be surprising and intriguing to watch and whilst mastering any given style he maintains his unique character and personality.

Originally from Linlithgow Craig moved to Liverpool in 2001 in order to study music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Throughout his university years Craig was involved in both Lipa and external projects including touring Spain with Spanish artist Carmen Paris. Lipa brought Craig together with a number of now prominent talents, perhaps most notably Mr. Marcus Bonfanti. This dynamic partnership has taken the Liverpool gigging circuit by the balls and the formation of their funk covers band, ‘Funtony', has superbly resurrected old school sounds for Liverpool audiences.

Since graduating in 2004, as well as regularly gigging around Merseyside, Craig has gone on to play with, chart toppers of the 90's, The Christians. April 2005 saw the first full band Christians UK tour for ten years. The band also made appearances at various summer festivals including the renowned Matthew Street festival in August where they played to a crowd of around 40,000.

Craig met Sandi Thom whilst studying at Lipa and was part of her first original band. Sandi is now launching her solo career with Craig on board playing both kit and percussion. In December last year the Sandi Thom band accompanied Scottish legends The Proclaimers on the Scottish leg of their World tour. They also supported Nizlopi in London for their first post number 1 gig on 20th December last year.

Breakmakers an original band that Craig has been involved with since university had an exciting year in 2005 which saw the release of their first e.p., ‘Thing's we say we do', and the single ‘Conscience'. The Band headlined their first full UK tour, had support dates with Stephen Fretwell and Brendan Benson, played at the Hyde Park Wireless Festival and supported Keane alongside Editors at The Eden Project.
