good kit mate, i think it's a good idea upgrading your cymbals before upgrading your drums as the pearl exports are definetly decent and i personally really like the look of the black on black. I used to have a similar setup of 2 rack toms offset to the left as well.

Ye I like this set up alot too, It's easier to reach the right tom with your left hand.
My goal is a 2 up 2 down set but I don't think I will buy that with the export serie.
First get a good set of cymbals...

good idea i was thinking of a 2 up 2 down 12, 13, 16, 18 myself. Maybe some pearl BMPs. That'll be a long time coming.

You say that like you're making an apology lol. You have some nice stuff and certainly don't have to be ashamed of anything. The cliche is true, everyone starts somewhere, so don't be worried. Nice setup too.

It is, sort of
The problem for me is that replacing wont make my kit bigger and I like having something new. And on above all hi-hats and rides are expensive. They've got alot of bronze in them...

Default Added 18" Zildjian A Custom ReZo crash and splash

Hey
Since I started this post I bought a 18" Zildjian A Custom ReZo crash and a stagg splash.
I love the ReZo crash, sounds great looks even better. It was expensive but worth it.
Next I'll replace the ride and hi-hat.
Maybe make effect cymbals of the hi-hats.
I'll post again when I have set up pictures or added more cymbals.

(crapy pics again)

I agree about the set-up.
I like the way the mounted toms are turned so that the ride can be accessed easier.
I prefer my ride cymbal hanging a few inches above my floor tom, but I just might try your way.
Nice set!

I had the same pedal set up you do but with the toms offset to the left my hi hats had to go to the left too. Because I like my bass pedal as close as possible and the hi-hat to the left there was a gap wich I filled with the percussion pedal bracket.
