Man, I feel your pain! Tell you what, I'll be happy to let you store a bunch of stuff at my house. I'll just set it up in the studio and email you a pic every week so you don't miss them too much.

Heck, I won't even charge you a storage fee 'cause that's just the sort of upstanding kinda guy I am.

Well, looking at your overall arsenal in writing, maybe your wife has a point. Ha!

The old tune "something's gotta give..." is in my head now. Good luck.

My god man, you've got a damn drum store in your house!

Shame that one had to go, but hey, it leaves room for some more snares now, doesn't it?

I have been very happily married for 32 years. She has bought me drums, insisted I buy others, and when times were tough..... said, you don't need to sell that. We will get through this.

Being single is way over rated.

I could let it all go except for the 1972 Ludwigs. You'd have a clean house, a happy wife, and 1 excellent drum set. But, I'm a hypocrite telling you this, because I currently own 7 kits :-)

l would sell off the Gretsch. I don't say that often. It is a mismached kit so I wouldn't feel bad losing it.

This worries me also.

But you are married to a descendant of the Rogers drum family, are you not?

Kidding. But I wouldn't be surprised :)

That's MY suggestion. Well... the only one I can post without running afoul of posting guidelines, anyway.

The Ol' ball and chain.

My wife was nagging me the other day......

Wait hang on! I was way to intelligent to ever get married. All my married friends who are not divorced, envy me.

My drums NEVER nag me.

The only dragone has when not married is illness is more difficult to deal with. But it is a small price to pay for freedom!

What is worth more, vintage drums or a vintage wife?

Yeah, as if it were that simple...

A single guy at age 27 has a whole different set of social circumstances than a single guy at 47.

As Chris Rock said "You are either lonely or bored"

I always remember reading Nietzsche saying something along the lines of "to be bored is to insult oneself".

I aggree. There's too many books, too much time to practise, so many things to do...

Oh and I agree with selling the DW.

I'd keep one of each make. Probably the blue Ld, the X-Ply DWs and the Gretsch. I feel the rest are somewhat redundant.

The electronic kit I think is a must for silent practice plus it can also be a very valuable pre-prod tool.

Dating sites have long had plenty of people who are married, lonely and bored.

I'm with Wy that loneliness and boredom are more about people's inability to be inspired by what's around at the time them than their situation.

Chris, you have tons of drums! Even if you let go of a couple of kits you still have heaps more than most. I'm not a gear connoisseur and suspect that this could be a sacrilegious statement, though :)
