What a catch (1980's)

Haga!

What's in a name, eh?

Catches.. can go either way. Additionally, I'm sure you're joking about the "obscure" drummer comment.

Wow Alain. Sam brown is one of my favourite vocalists, but I had no idea Gavin played on her best known single.

This is my favourite track from the same album. I wonder if Gavin is playing on this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71cyiuk7rBU

No he didn't, the drummer's name here is Roland Kerridge.

I'm not that familiar with the rest of the CD, although I have it. I will listen to it, but there's other tracks with Gavin. The titles are:

Your Love is All,
Piece Of My Luck,
Ball And Chain
Sometimes You Just Don't Know
High As A Kite

Ah, thanks Alain. That's encouraged me to go back & listen to those tracks with a fresh insight. You really are a mine of information :)

Thanks Andy ;-)
While we're at it, here's a very different version of Stop, by Joe Bonamassa, that's pretty good too!

Wonderful control by this drummer - wow, a perfect drum part IMHO. I especially like the section from 4:00 onwards. Clean & snappy hand-foot triplet fills, can't beat them in this pace of rock :) :) :)

More older stuff featuring Gavin,

Incognito - Always There.

Lovely hi hat work on this. I was only a year old when this was released, oh dear.
Fabulous, & those trademark mini cymbals making an appearance too :) While I was there, I couldn't help but click on this live version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTdR6BrRvX8 Somewhat over indulgent, but some great playing from all on stage.
