Pearl Necklace – ZZ Top

Folks, for some reason Pearl Necklace (ZZ Top) is kicking my ass. I can’t seem to get the basic Snare/Hi-Hat rhythm and snaps pattern. But especially the Kick is baffling me.

Typically I try to match the studio version as best I can, but dayum, I now I'm just looking for a reasonable facsimile.

Band mates are saying a shuffle is going on with the kick...

To me bass is on one, the and of one, the and of 2 and the and of 3.
