This is my setup at home as of right now. I really like it in general, I've consolidated everything to one room, and it's much better now, whereas before everything was strewn all over.
Anyway, this is my setup! Let me know what you think, It's not that large of a room, but I feel I have used the space efficiently.
I'm playing my acoustic kit as a 6-piece here, and I have it set up right-handed, and almost sort of normal.
The toms go, from the top left down, 10"x10", 8"x8", 13"x13", and 12"x12".
The snare is 14"x5.5" and the bass drum is 20"x20". All natural maple!
The toms are in a strange order, but it makes me play interesting things, as I'm not used to it yet. And really, as a 4-piece in the middle, its just a tiny little bop kit, with a tiny high tom, and a 13" "floor tom," and that sounds awesome!! And a nice washy cymbal to boot! With the addition of the other two oddly sized (with respect to the 8" and 13") toms, things get really spicy. Old licks sound refreshing!
Remo on the toms and snare, but Aquarian on the kick. (The resos too)
Axis A pedals with Marksman beaters and Pearl Eliminator hat stands, red cam. Mapex Mars Pedal with nasty old Gibraltar beater.
All pedals everywhere are velcro-ed down, to my exact specifications!
In all honestly, the seats never even move. There are perfect imprints of the feet from the thrones, that are so deep now the chairs practically fall into place.
LP cowbells.
Somehow I was able to set up all those drums and cymbals using 7 stands in total, including the snare stand. That stand on the right has 2 toms and 3 cymbals on it. Well, 4.
I have two remote hi-hats, one as a primary hat, and another as a secondary. I also have a pair of small closed 10" hats off to the right by the ride.
(I'll list the parts of the images and cymbals and stuff as the I get to them.)
I had to get tear down one and sell off a few kits, which is why this kit is so decked out in cymbals!
Cymbals starting from the left hi-hat and around.
14" A. Zildjian&Cie Vintage hats, 12" Zildjian Oriental china stacked under Wuhan 10" splash, 18" Zildjian A Custom medium thin crash (my first ever real cymbal! Has it really been 12 years?), 14" Sabian HH Fusion Hats, 20" Sabian HHX Stage ride, 16" Sabian Fierce Crash, 10" Zildjian Oriental Hats, 16" Zildjian Thin Crash, 18" Wuhan China.
To the right of my acoustic kit, I have my Electric kit. Near that are a bass and classical guitar.
Axis A Longboards on the E-kit. Iron Cobra Rubber Beaters.
To the left of all that, by the window, is where I do my studies, and have my laptop set up. And the all important glorious amp. The output from the computer can go into the amp if I am not using headphones. I also just recently set up this Iron Cobra double pedal on a homemade bass drum trigger someone gave me.
And there's the amp, that runs all things. A cable from the E-kit goes around the perimeter of the room to it. You can see the white table in the corner. To the left of the amp is my tower of things.
And to the left of the tower is my keyboard, also connected to the amp, with my guitar hanging above it, poised to drop and destroy my keys. My guitar amp is right there as well. Underneath my keyboard is a tripod for camera stuff, and some guitar footstools, if you wanted to know what that was.
And rotating to the left completing the revolution is my door and a shelf with some of my books. I'm growing some plants on top of it. Between that and the closet is just my tool kit I use for all this drum and whatever stuff.
The closet there holds my drum hardware and most of my sticks. There's also a mattress up there for if someone needs to stay over
Ahh, and there is a Clear Ambassador signed by Dave Weckl hanging above the mirror.
