I did some good cleaning with a damp just a damp rag and then dryed everything with with a dry rag.

The drum sounds really good it's got a nice sensitive touch and a bright crack. it would be perfect for jazz or a new orleans zydeco/2nd line jazz sound. I never could get this thing to sound good with the marching strainer on it the snares were always stretching and buzzing. now it's restored to it's original intentions. pretty cheap too. i'll probably put the old strainer and butt end on ebay and make back half the money. The shell is in great condition and the bearing edges are still smooth. The wrap is starting to show it's age and pull out and showing some orange peel but other than that it's okay.
 
Very nice looking re-build. Great choice with the Puresound snares.
