A mint condition, hardly used Ludwig Black Galaxy Acrolite. It came with the stand, a bag, and drum pad. Paid 72 on ebay for it. Brought it to practice and the band fell in love with the sound...my new go to snare! I need to get a pic of it to post.
Well I have been using the same Yamaha drum stool for 25 years. It's done a lot of miles and seen a lot of venues.
But alas the vinyl cover got ripped and with multiple tears I thought It was doomed. However rather than spending big money on a replacement that could never match up I just got the stool reupholstered for £20. Good as new, nice subtle brown vinyl, nice thin padding so it fits in my hardware case.
So it's not so much a new purchase as a minor refit.
This is my second Ming fiberglass snare.
6x14 with black chrome hardware. Super thin shell with rings. Very sensitive, crisp with a nice pop. Loud like my carbon fiber snare but it does low volume nicely. Ghost notes are superb.
Got everything you see here for free. Actually it was part of a set with about $700 worth of cymbals that I paid $500 bucks for. Already sold the cymbals and made my money back plus some. I held on to the kit and will just keep it set up in the basement as a practice kit so my gigging set can stay in the bags. The hardware is all brand new with the exception of the pedal. The real score is the Acrolyte. This is my first one and I must say it is everything it is cracked up to be.
Missus got this for my birthday a few weeks ago. Walked backwards and forwards banging on cymbals, and this was the one I kept coming back to. This and a nice paiste twenty series, but I wasn't expecting her to fork out $700. Never had any genuine interest in Sabian, mostly due to unsubstantiated bias....never played them but never liked them. I really liked this one and enjoyed giving it a good bash last weekend. Look forward to doing the same again this weekend.
I love those for rides. After I've used it for a while I'll get use to crashing on it. Then I'll have my old Zildjian ( not sure what it is) on my kit and I forget and crash it. It sounds terrible crashing. Omni's are great cym.
I picked up the Sonor Jojo Mayer perfect balance pedal....single kick. Very very nice pedal. With my larger dogs, it's still not on the level of the Axis Longs for heel toe....but very useable. Great for std heel up playing.
