Hello drummers,

I just received a very very rare Drumset, I am fond of Tamburo for many years now.
I just bought a Black Satin Oil model with some custom shell sizes. This set was hand made by TULLIO GRANATELLO in 2006 @ San Omero Italy.

This a limited edition with Short Stacks (configuration on inquiry) because of the drumset size. I also got the snare with it equiped with a Super Sensitive Strainer that I really love !

Like you probably know, Tamburo Opera are made with Multilayer Stave Shells, 7 plies and 7.5mm. There are hand and the Epoxy reinforcement rings are patented by Tamburo from many years.

Set :

22*18 + 10*8 + 12*8 + 16*14 + 14*5.5 Snare
Black Satin Oil

- 7 Ply @7.5mm Multilayer Stave US Maple Shell
- Birch of Finland reinforcement rings
- Epoxy Bearing edges (Patented)
- Die Cast Hoops

- Super Sensitive Strainer on Snare
- Tamburo Special Tom Rims

Heads

Snare : Jack DeJohnette batter, Tamburo reso

Very nice looking kit. I had a look at the Tamburo video of shell making. Some smart thinking there. Not only does the process make a good shell, it also quite dramatically cuts down the labour time by virtually eliminating machining.

Really nice looking kit (I love black kit)

Very stylish, a nice italian design on the bass drum claws, they won't be out of context on a Ferrari... :)
