Mr. Compactness

I should have this little green monster on Friday.

Built by Bob Rodriguez of On the Edge Drum Co. (www.ontheedgedrumco.com

Note - The pool isn't mine...I wish. Ah, Sunny Californ-i-ay.

6-Ply Maple Shells with 30 Degree Rounded Over Edges
Green Electric Sparkle Wrap from Drum Foundry

Sizes: 12x18 Bass, 9x14 Floor Tom, 9x10 Tom.

I plan on using my 5x14 Pearl Aluminum Sensitone with wood hoops. I'll be able to put the bass and snare in a 14x18 bag, and the floor tom and tom in a 14x14 bag.

Awesome! I love these sizes. I also love it when folks take pics of their drums by the pool.

very cool, some retro flat based stands would finish things off nicely.

Actually I don't use cymbal stands at all. All my cymbals get mounted with a half-DW cymbal arm held by a short jaw/eyebolt clamp. My crash or whatever cymbal is over my hi-hat gets mounted off of the hi-hat stand, my ride gets mounted off of the tom holder, and whatever cymbal I have on the right gets mounted off of a floor tom leg.

My snare stand is flat base though of course.

Very cool. I like to see people economize hardware - a no-stand set is awesome! The Yamaha Hipgig is like that, flying everything off the bass drum. Put up some photos with the hardware so we get another dose of drum porn.

If you want to see real stand economization, see my ironwood drum set thread around 2007-2008. On three stands, I had: a hihat, six cymbals, four toms and a cowbell.

That kit looks great. I love playing my bop kit in rock styles. I'm sure you'll get a huge sound out of that kit if you lay into it.

Very nice.
