Photo Essay: Ludwig Mfg Center in NC

Would love to work in the 'wave room'.
Ann Ross must have wrapped a lot of kits out there.

I enjoyed that thanks for sharing it. Love the Ed Shaugnessy kit. The kit with Basie on the bass drum belonged to Butch Miles?

Every time I see a thread about Ludwig, I feel a bit bad for not having one of their sets anymore - or at least a snare.
Maybe I can remedy that.
Thanks for linking to the photos.

Very cool! It was a bit interesting to see people sanding with no respirator, but the man hammering the tympani had on full protective gear. Curious.

Nice to see the folks that built my Classic Maples.

I thought exactly the same thing. Heck, when I did wood shop all through high school, I at least wore a mask.

Confession: I live within a 2-hour drive of this place and have never been. :-/

I tried to take a tour of the factory a few years ago. I have family that lived like 2 miles from them. I called everyone I could and just got the run-around. Ludwig told me I needed to call and set up a tour with a distributor, the distributor told me to talk to a local music store, and on and on...
