I see them scattered around the site and thought I would try to give us a place to get them together.

Very very nice kits barry, i like the vintage style and planning to purchase dw 6000 hardware, what do you think of the 6500 hihatstand? how sturdy is it it, it looks like it could break very easily, and how is the feel playing it, is it accurate?

thanks in advance!

My 6500 hihat stand is one of the older, first generation style ones. DW has changed the way the footboard and the legs are mounted on their newer ones, so I can not say how they are for feel. This one that I have is very sturdy, and has a really good feel to it. I switched the hinge for one of those delta bearing types, but I have not noticed a significant difference. I usually use this stand with the el sabor hats which are pretty heavy, and the stand holds up very well. One complaint that I do have about this stand is that it does wobble a bit, probably due to the way the legs and foot board sit. I am not a real heavy hitter, so this stand is more than sturdy enough for me. If a person was to really pound on it, I don't know how it would hold up, still, I would strongly recomend it to anyone looking for a good quality, lightweight sturdy hi hat stand.

Here is a drivers seat view of the kit, and the stand.

You can see the cannister throne, of which I swapped the original seat for a roc n soc.

This holds all of the 6000 series hardware, with room to spare, and is almost as comfortable as my couch.

If you do decide to pick one up, or try one out, let me know what you think of it.

I love that finish, very nice. I thing the advantage if having a large kit is you always have the option to set up a smaller one. ;-)

All the great DW kits very nice!

You need to upload them to a server somewhere and then link to the pics.

Search the web for free photo hosting, they are all over the place. You ISP may even offer it.

Click on your link, then copy the complete URL in your address bar. paste that in the field after you click the insert image button.

Beautiful kit by the way.

Okay, I'll play. Here's a couple pics of my 89' Keller shelled, snow-white pearl DW's. The only drum not in the pic is the 18" floor tom.

That's a cool kit!

The other kits (in the thread) shown have been sweet too, but this one really caught my eye....even though I play Ludwig...:p
Your other kits are cool as well btw....

Your drum room looks like mine haha!
Shelves of drums, gear, pedals, heads, sticks......Ah, paradise!
