Joyful Noise snare drum

A year of saving and then four months of waiting for the finest snare drum I've ever played. JNDC 'Standard' model 5x14 nickel over heavy brass shell. Just an amazing drum in sound quality. She's bright and warm. It's got a tremendous dynamic range, no matter how hard I lay into the drum it never chokes. Superb build quality not found very often...

Very nice.

I went to look at their website for a little more info on their drums and I think their site is being worked on.

What is the thickness of that shell?

It has a 2.5mm brass shell. It's 3 lbs. heavier than my Ludwig bronze 6 1/2x14! I think his website is being renovated, but you can check them out on Facebook also. YouTube has videos from Memphis drum shop and DrumcenterNH. They're expensive, but they're world-class instruments that would be at home anywhere.

There's a gold plated feather motif badge around the vent hole that is a very classy visual appointment.
I just placed a new Remo vintage A coated batter head on this drum and it really has that sound I was hearing in my head.
