Apart from Spirit Drums, Brady Drums and Sleishman Drums, are there any Australian drum makers that make drums in Australia.

The biggest issue with all Australian companies (IMO) is they're sooooo expensive.
Seriously, why should I be paying $1400 for a drum made in my back yard?

(and seriously, the company in question is within 50 km of my house)
(and lets face it, until Brady goes offshore and has 1,000 Indonesian's churning out 100 Bradies a day........)
I won't mention what I shelled out for my Brady stave snare, but I will say that is was worth every penny I paid. This drum can do anything! It can sound like a vintage Radio King, or thick as molasses. It's also a great jazz snare. I cannot say the same about any other snare I have owned, and I have had some pretty good ones over the years. It records like a dream & has unbelievable tone & sensitivity.
Postscript: Also.... Drums and Beer, which 'Yammie' kit is that? The set that I use the most is the MCA. I also have a Gretsch 'stop sign' and a 62' Rogers Holiday w/ (COB Dynasonic).
I was just readying about these snares in the most recent MD. They seem to be pretty incredible. Versitile, beautiful, and pricey as well. haha nice to know it provides such a diverse sound. I wanna look into getting one myself
there is a compnay in brisbane called Zenzian. they mainly make stave snares from exotic and australian timbers. i think they have just introduced a full stave kit as well. Btw, for all the drum builders out there i advise you to be wary of an australian website called drum parts online. i haven't received my order after 8 weeks and have been getting vauge updates on the order.
Check out Evetts drums. Steve makes some gorgeous shells.
