Some In-Tense porn for the weekend ;)

Dude, you set that kit up on a bunch of rocks? What were you thinking?

Maybe there should be a disclaimer about the rocks and how Andy actually sets up the kits safely on them in every picture of these, since they get commented on this often ;)

"These drums were set up in a closed environment by a professional builder. Do not attempt at home."

You ever see those Harley Magazines with hot chicks posing with hot bikes?

Those drums are hot! Now where are the sexy women? We need a calendar.

Let's see we have Anon. We have WaitForItDrummer, we have Her Madge-esty, we have whitecatcafe, we have emmaticus, and we have Caz. LesIsmore is rumored to be female, but I have my doubts about that.

I know I must be missing a few here.

Given the surface upon which they sit, these drums appear to be designed for rock music.

I'm sorry. I have to. Please understand. It's an addiction. But I'm working through it.

For some reason, Andy hasn't mentioned studies that prove that drummers are simply happier when playing Guru snares. This pic proves it (and this is for just a snare).

I want to be that happy someday. :)

Yes, how can we forget MaryO? Will she agree to be on the cover? I think Hannah Ford might be busy that weekend.

GREAT shot. Totally captures the emotion. It's almost like you're saying...."here's my jugular vein, slash it open so I can die happy"

Lol

Not really, I just couldn't resist.

Guys - stones - not an issue. The bottom of the bass drum isn't touching the stones (gravel). Anyhow, a former (famous, infamous) member was known for his "rock riser", & I don't remember anyone raising the issue with him (maybe white wrapped Mapex are stone proof ;)

What a fantastic picture! My goodness, I daren't supply you with a kit, as I'm sure photo's of that wouldn't be suitable for these hallowed pages ;)

As we're sharing a room June 7th, what debauchery are you planning to force upon me?

I thought Duncan was spending another night with me on 7th June, or have you made him a better offer, Andy?

It's not torture, it's lust ;) ;) ;)

Same thing, when it's beyond one's reach, as it were.

She may be pretty, but she can rumble & bite ;)

Like a thinly veiled tigress. And you wonder why I need one!

A Guru snare and a gold sparkly kit. Ooh, I've come over all unnecessary!

Ah, Duncan said he was short of accommodation, so I offered him a share of my room on the 7th. More than happy to revert. Some confusion obviously. Over to Duncan -

Yes, yes. Those drums are intense. When can I get my t-shirt?
When we eventually get some printed, I'll send you one gratis, just to shut you up ;)

Yes, I do like that. Very much.

Except for maybe those badges... they're so horrid. In fact, they're a deal-breaker for me. In fact, they must be a deal-breaker for most drummers.

So here's what I'm gonna do. I send you my address, you send me drums. We both benefit!

Seriously, those are absolutely stunning.

Very beautiful Andy, already recorded a video with it?

Yes Eric :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgFt6QFzfEM&hd=1 How are you getting on with your snare BTW?

Thanks Scotty, but the badges? Really? Are they that bad? We think they're a nice combination of classic, timeless, & minimalist.

Oh! I didn't think accommodation was provided, Madge! I didn't want to presume anything.

Andy, it's your call either way fella. If you want a hand with carting, setup, etc then Manchester might be the better bet but it's up to you.
PM Duncan :)

EDIT: I have to correct my earlier assertion about white Saturns being wrapped. My mistake, they're a lacquered finish. Also, my "rocks" don't make the grade. Rather think the ones behind the kit do though ;)

The sound matches the looks, wonderful.

And I still enjoy the bubinga snare every time I play it, so another happy customer!

...impressive hardware (as well as shells/overall execution)...are the tom hoops also made of aluminum?

...seems like we have an english "kumu" in the making (but featuring locally-sourced indigenous english ash, which, by the way, is the preferred wood of one of the top loudspeaker manufacturers in the world, b&w)...

Validation of my theory that playing Guru drums makes drummers happy. I understand that Larry hasn't wiped the smile off his face since taking delivery of his kit.
