I hate to break it to you but the stuff they speak in America isn't really the greatest English.Well, they're not Saturns of course, but what can ya do?
Really though, who'd want to read subtitles through a whole show if it was the factory where they made the Saturns?
I mean, at least these guy's speak English most of us can understand.
Yes, but they make drums all purdy 'n all, y'hear boy!I hate to break it to you but the stuff they speak in America isn't really the greatest English.
Can you find Canada on a map?I hate to break it to you but the stuff they speak in America isn't really the greatest English.
Trying to understand comment. Need clarification. Can you find Canada on a map?
Okay, how is Canadian English not "American" given Canada's continental location?Trying to understand comment. Need clarification.
Ludwig 1909....Gretsch 1883. so how does that quote jive with the History. Me doth protest.
I have emailed the travel channel to see where they get their info.

I can tell if someone's from Chicago, New York, or New Orleans much faster than I can tell if someone's from anywhere in Canada based on speech patterns. Or were you meaning to put yourself and your countrymen in the category of Americans with English that ain't spoke good?
And why do you always follow your little digs with a cornball smiley face? You don't really think that makes the dig go away, do you?
I'm not saying I can't hear a difference - I'm less than a 100 miles from the border, myself. All I'm saying is that I think Canadian English has a lot more in common with US English than it does to any other nation of the Commonwealth. It's not even more distinct than some areas within the US.I live a reasonable driving distance from Windsor, Canada, and the accent is identifiable to me.
