Hard at work in the studio cutting a new track with a few musicians I work with. Not an acctual band, but a collaboration of sorts.

We cut a demo at the Tommy Tedesco studio located at The Musicians Institute a few days ago and I go back in to track the drums this weekend.
Here are a few pics, I'll have more as the recording goes on...

Gear Specs:
DW Collectors Maple (Black wrap)
10", 12", 16", 5" x 14" Snare & 22" Bass Drum (didn't use the 10" or Snare)
5.5" x 14" Peace Snare (Black Chrome over Brass)

Zildjian Cymbals
14.25" K Custom Hybrid Hi Hats
20" A Custom Rezo Crash (x2)
20" K Pre-Aged Dry Light Ride
18" Oriental China Trash
18" Z Series Power Smash

Why two A Custom Rezo Crashes?

I almost always use two matching crashes. I like the balance of having two of the same size cymbals up front, and I figure that your right and left hand don't hit exactly the same. For an extra sound I use a 3rd crash that's a 19" over my Hi Hats.

When I was a kid Joey Kramer was a huge influence on me and he did that too.
