Hi, i have a gretsch catalina ash and the bass drum leg has snapped off (due to my stupid bassist standing on my base drum during a gig), does anyone have any advice on where i would find a replacement leg or where i can get it repaired in the UK?

thanks.

i'm sorry to hear about your bass drum leg, i hope you beat your bass player down for that. ha!

unfortunately, i won't be able to help you because i'm in the USA, but here's a website link from gretsch drums to find a dealer.

http://www.gretschdrums.com/?fa=dealers_europe&country=England&pg=1

what i'd suggest is even go to a nearby drum shop (if you have one) to see if you can get a replacement. i'd remove the whole bass drum leg/spur and take it with you.

best of luck bro.

Go see Gareth or Simon at Highwood drums ( http://www.highwooddrums.co.uk ) or you can look at this custom builder too http://www.noonandrums.com/.

Both could help you with repair but at which price ? Maybe ordering a new bass drum would be less expensive since the Catalina Ash shell pack is affordable.

Ebay possible.
If I were you I would stand on his bass to teach him a lesson, your bassist is real idiot my friend. I hope he offered to pay for the repair.

I think he means the cast leg, not the drum itself...shouldn't be too expensive.

Ooppss !!! My bad I though the bass drum had damage too. Lucky if it just the spurs though. Gretsch use Gibraltar hardware so Gibraltar spurs replacement should solve the problem.
