My O.C.D.P. Kit

Here's my Orange County kit.
(I just pulled it out of our rehearsal room so I apologize for dirt and finger prints in advance.) It's now residing in my garage for cleaning, and routine maintenance.

Woah man, that's one sweet kit. It must be LOUD...

If metal is your thing, that's a dream kit.

Do the bass drums have any sound with all of that foam in there????

I was about to say more resonance, but ummmm....

Pinstripe head + foam + slam patch + port holes + foam beater

Powerstroke 3, not Pinstripe. His toms are the Remo coated...
Foam is trimmed along the inside of the base drum, giving more "thwack" and less "boom"
Falam Slam doesn't do anything except add more punch
Port holes give it a louder, more dry sound.
Foam beater doesn't change much at all really...

It's very Joey Jordison like, like his kit before his Pearl was an OCDP.
Also, except for the 22 bass drums, it's VERY Vinnie Paul like, with the enormous "sqaure" drum sizes.

Other than that, beauty of a kit bro.

im not disagreeing with either of you..

but those bass drums have to sound as dead as a door nob..haha

but nice looking kit for a OCDP..

Alex

I honestly think it'd keep some boomyness. It's only the shell of the bass in foam, not like a whole load of laundry in there. I bet it sounds pretty good!

I'm not gonna argue with you there, I would think it sounds great too, especially because this guy gigs and such. Plus, it's probably mic'ed when performing, and I can imagine how awesome that would sound.

Oh yeah, and do you have any videos of you playing it? This is one kit I cannot pass up seeing in action!

Rad looking kit. Looks like it's ready to get mouted to a crane for spinning upside down ala Tommy Lee

Double bass, square toms, Z custom, black rack, and a Jolly Roger on the cabinet to boot. Jazz trio I presume? This kit just screams with echoes of Max Roach, Art Blakey, and Elvin Jones. Very subtle and very classy.

Just kidding!!!! This is an incredibly unique kit that is very purposeful. It has one job and that is to be LOUD. It even looks loud. Mission accomplished.

Do you mic those bass drums? With that setup I don't think you'd get that much projection from them if you want the crowd to be able to hear your bass drum. Especially with those loud Z Customs.

shes a beaut man.

digging the cymbal set up.

and the way you muffle the bass.

now only if those were virgin basses

think of the posibilities=D

I think they are, it's just the way it looks in that pic. It's attach to the bass, not in it.
Plus, die-cast on the toms would be good, too, lol.
