My Unix Bubinga Stave Kit - Chocolate Thunda!

hehe, 805 seems to go for high end gear these days, great to see that :).

@ Zambizzi:

thnx about the beard :)

and not to show of my kit in your thread, but you asked for it...

it's only a simple Tama Rockstar, but it's my first kit and I like it very much. I try to tread her with all the respect. (The photo's were taken in our 'rehearsel room', a showroom for kitchens that we can use because a bandmember works there.)

Wow Frank! That kit is looking good! Kudos to upgrades :)

Wow thats one of the nicest sets ive ever seen in my life

and just out of curiosity, which wood has a lower frequency, mahogany or bubinga?

Any time you are preparing to read about a UNIX kit it is advisable to put on the bib to catch the drool.

I had never heard of them before... usually when someone says Unix i think "Operating system" (i'm a geek) but wow... i listened to the samples on their site and wow... they sound awesome. I haven't spent any time really looking at stave sets before but i looked at a few different stave drum makers and heard the difference in recordings of stave versus ply... man... i need to get a stave set when i eventually buy a new kit...
