Looks spectacular! So it's a solid shell with an outer veneer of Zebrawood?

The colors ruin the natural beauty of zebrawood....

I was wondering about that, whether it was some freaky occuring wood coloration or just stain? If i bought that drum I'd probably just sand down the outer veneer just past the stain and then clear coat lacquer it. I don't know why Ddrum charges so much for that drum, they're priced almost as high as a craviotto solid maple. They should price it around the same as the bubinga ply dios snare, i'd buy one for sure.

It would be cheaper to have someone custom make one for you, zebrawood and all...
